The ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM and its PRESIDENT and CEO, TERRY STEWART,  is reaching out to collectors, historians, writers, singers, musicians and aficionados of Doo Wop, Rhythm and Blues and Rock and Roll to build a resource for future generations of students and historians to learn about the music that has been a part of our daily lives.

Future generations won't have the opportunity to hear or see live Willie Winfield, Rudy West, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Bo Diddley, Johnny Carter, Billy Taylor, Sonny Til and the hundreds of singers who've so enriched our lives. It's been the collectors and aficionados of this music who've documented it via videotapes, interviews, photographs etc.

What's going to happen to everything we've accumulated after our generation is gone?

The ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME serves a lot of masters in who it inducts. To me the official inductees are representatives of their generation and an essential part of the marketing of the Museum but as we all know there are thousands of singers and musicians who invented Rock and Roll, Doo Wop and Rhythm and Blues. They should be recognized as well and you can make sure that history remembers them and that they are memorialized in the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM.

Some of the major collectors of our generation have decided that the new Archive and Library of the Rock Hall would be a great place to have their collections kept in tact and preserved for posterity. In effect, by creating official collections under their own names they are inducting themselves into the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME as if the ROCK HALL accepts your collection, then you are receiving official recognition from the ROCK HALL of the importance to what you've done to preserve Doo Wop, Rock and Roll and Rhythm and Blues.

In the very near future you will be informed as to how you can be a part of the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME and receive official recognition for your life-long efforts to preserve this great music by donating originals or copies of the photos, videos, interviews and memorabilia that you've spent your lifetime amassing.

Collectors and historians who may be known to you are already participating in this ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME ARCHIVE effort including Phil Groia, Val Shively, Dr. Charles and Pamela Horner, Lou Rallo and many more.

Stay tuned for more information about this and how you can become a part of it.

One of the great supporters and fans of the 2008 BURLINGTON CONCERT and the 1983 BURLINGTON CONCERT is TERRY STEWART, President and CEO of the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM.

Terry's letter, moral and financial support made the 2008 Concert a possibility. As many fans of the music of the First Generation of Rock n' Roll and Doo Wop know he is a passionate fan and collector. He has expressed a desire to continue his support of the music.

Terry posted the following letter on the website of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. It was and is greatly appreciated. Thanks MdC
